Dear Labour Party
At 10.35 am I dialled the Labour Party and spoke to the operator in Membership: I said there has been some confusion about whether I am a member or not of the Labour Party. I received a couple of emails or at least one this morning about Training on Zoom and I registered for that. Could you check if my membership is valid or not? She asked me for my Membership Number. I said that I did not have that. If I give you my postal address, could you check. Yes she said I gave her ME8 0SL. She looked it up and said you applied on the 5 of March or some date then and it has not yet been approved. I said then I cannot register for the Training Events? She said she would not know about that because it is a separate Department that deals with that. I said that I have not received the Membership pack in the post yet. If you Look at Labour Hub you will see my membership details and the number beginning with L something. She said that that the membership pack would not be sent until the application is approved. I asked Are you sure that it has not yet been approved? She said that she was very sure. I asked how long will it take? She said she would not know there was a big backlog. I said OK I will wait to hear from you. The Call ended.
Sir, Labour Hub just checked shows that I resigned as a member with the following display: L1545992. Join Date 6.3.2024.
Please clarify.
Yours sincerely

In the face of their tremendous resources, we cannot be caught off guard. We must be prepared to hit the campaign trail running.
Labour’s Training Team has got you covered - check out our upcoming online training sessions this week so you’re ready to campaign with confidence.
Upcoming sessions
Everyone has a part to play in delivering the next Labour government.
If you’re new to the Labour Party or want to get more involved, we’re hosting a 'Get involved in your local party' session on Thursday 21 March at 6pm.
We’ll cover how the Labour Party works locally, and how you can be a vital part of the action. Book your space:

And did you know a conversation you have could be all it takes to turn an undecided voter into a Labour voter? And when all our volunteers are confident speaking to voters on the doorstep, it could be the game changer that helps us secure a Labour victory.
We’re hosting a campaigning masterclass, 'Win '24 Get Involved: Effective Conversations' this Sunday 24 March at 10am.
Hear from the experts at Labour on how to speak with key voters and uncover the issues that matter most to them. Register below:

When we come together and campaign at our best, it makes all the difference for Labour. Simply put, effective volunteers make victories happen.
The Tories will chuck it all at this next general election. To deliver the next Labour government, we have to be able to beat them.
Don’t fail to prepare. Register for our training sessions and let’s win together.
Thank you,
Labour’s Training Team
